Frieda does an incredible job keeping you entertained from the first sentence. You always have a feeling that there might be something more going on than what is plainly stated.

The Perfect Son dances between the point of view of the mother and a young girl Olivia for most of the story. While it all takes place in a short period of time we bounce between the timeline of the capture and possible murder of a highschool student and the transcripts of police interviews. You never know who to trust but can relate to the characters whether you like them or not.

There is an intense feeling of shock when you discover the twist and are still left wondering till the last page. This is a gripping quick story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
